The 13th Tbilisi International Dental Congress will take place on May 17-18, 2024, organized by the Radix Scientific Research Center.
The Radix team aims to transform traditional scientific conferences by introducing an innovative model for colleagues, creating a dynamic and interactive platform in dentistry.
Departing from the conventional format of scientific presentations, the congress will adopt a session-based structure. Each session (plenum) will feature 3-4 renowned speakers and an expert moderator, fostering a focused and engaging environment tailored to the specific interests of different groups within the dental community.
The Georgian Dental Association (GSA) will facilitate two panel discussions during the congress.

Natia Jaliashvili, expert-consultant on personal data protection issues – “Responsibilities regarding the protection of personal data in medical institutions”
Khatia Jikuridze, Head of the Nuclear and Radiation Safety Agency – “New standards for dental institutions regarding dental x-ray diagnostic equipment”
GSA Vice-President, Zurab Alkhanishvili, will chair the panel discussion on “The Transformation of Public Health: A Dichotomy of the Progress of History, Medicine, and Politics.”
This panel will explore the impact of major medical discoveries on global health, including how public health interventions have historically altered human development. It will contrast the challenges posed by communicable diseases in the past with the current predominance of non-communicable diseases and consider emerging scientific perspectives with the potential to transform lives. The session will also assess how these discoveries are integrated into current medical and dental practices and the interplay between regulatory frameworks and scientific insights.
