Georgian Dental Association Actively Participated in the 13th Tbilisi International Dental Congress

On May 17-18, 2024, the 13th Tbilisi International Dental Congress, organized by the Scientific-Research Center “Radix,” took place. Representatives of the Georgian Dental Association (GSA) led two significant panel discussions at the event, focusing on industry regulations and public health issues.

The President of the GSA, Ketevan Gogilashvili, moderated a session titled “State-Imposed Regulations, Existing Experience, and Recommendations.” The discussion featured representatives from the Ministry of Health, the Personal Data Protection Service, and the Agency of Nuclear and Radiation Safety, who addressed new requirements and updates relevant to dental practice.

The GSA’s Vice-President, Zurab Alkhanishvili, led a panel discussion on “Transformations of Public Health.” This session, which included experts from the National Center for Disease Control and the World Health Organization, explored global challenges and future prospects in infection prevention and control, as well as the management of non-communicable diseases.
